| Methuen's
language arts program is novel based. Reading and writing skills are
taught through novels including grammar, spelling, punctuation and
critical thinking skills. Students read eight required novels plus two
books per term of independent reading. This approach to language arts is consistent
with the Massachusetts frameworks and preparation for MCAS testing. Each of the above novels include the vocabulary and guided questions. |
